Vellum for WordPress is live

Vellum, our architecture and interior design template, is now a full WordPress theme. Built on Gutenberg with no page builder required, and available on ThemeForest today.

Vellum for WordPress is live

Vellum started as an HTML template for architecture and interior studios — people whose entire job is taste. The question that followed it everywhere was the obvious one: can I run this on WordPress?

As of today, yes. Vellum for WordPress is live on ThemeForest.

Built for WordPress, not ported to it

The easy way to make a WordPress theme is to wrap an HTML template in a page builder and call it done. The result looks right in the demo and fights you the first time you edit it.

Vellum goes the other way. It is built on Gutenberg, the editor that ships with WordPress, so there is no page builder required. You edit pages in the same editor you write posts in. Nothing extra to license, nothing extra to update, nothing extra slowing the site down.

More than beautiful pages

A studio site has one job: put the work in front of the right client and get out of the way. So the theme is built around the things a studio changes week to week:

  • Project and portfolio layouts that let photography do the talking
  • Home, about, blog, and contact pages you can edit without touching code
  • A layout that holds up on a laptop, a tablet, and the phone a client actually opens it on

The same quiet design

Nothing about the look was loosened to make the move. The warm greige system is intact: one neutral, near-black type, a single restrained accent. Designers don’t want a theme with opinions louder than their own work. Vellum is still a confident, quiet stage.
